News Release: Coast Guard medevacs sailor off USS Ronald Reagan

SEATTLE – The Coast Guard medevaced a 22-year-old sailor off the USS Ronald Reagan near Port Townsend, Wash., Tuesday.

Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles, Wash., launched an MH-65C Dolphin helicopter crew at 7:30 a.m., arriving on scene at approximately 8:10 a.m.

The sailor was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, arriving at 8:39 a.m., and reported to be in stable condition.

The USS Ronald Reagan is scheduled to moor at Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton, Wash at 1:30 p.m., where it will undergo a year-long Dock Planned Incremental Availability (DPIA) at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF).
